2. Services overview

Beyond Skin Deep offers skin therapy, facial treatments, LED light therapy, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, energy healing (including Reiki and sound healing), infrared body wraps, and related beauty services including waxing and lash treatments. All services are delivered by Nicole at her Thornbury studio.

Our services are designed to support skin health, relaxation, and general wellbeing. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.

3. Bookings, cancellations, and payments

• All appointments must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
• A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows may be charged the full treatment fee and may result in future bookings being declined.
• Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
• No refunds are provided for completed treatments.
• Beyond Skin Deep reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.

4. Health disclosure and consent

Before receiving any treatment, you are required to disclose all relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, skin sensitivities, pregnancy status, and any other health information that may affect the safety or suitability of your treatment.

• Beyond Skin Deep is not liable for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed health conditions or medications.
• Results vary between individuals. No specific outcomes are guaranteed.
• Some treatments may not be suitable during pregnancy, for certain skin conditions, or while taking specific medications. If you are unsure, please ask before booking.
• By proceeding with a treatment, you confirm that you are in suitable health or have obtained appropriate medical clearance.

5. Energy work and complementary therapies

Reiki, sound healing, and other energy-based modalities offered by Beyond Skin Deep are complementary therapies. They are intended to support relaxation, stress reduction, and general wellbeing. They are not medical treatments, and they do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

During energy work sessions, you may experience emotional or physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, emotional release, deep relaxation, or temporary fatigue. These responses are natural and vary between individuals.

If you are currently receiving treatment for a mental health condition, please consult your treating practitioner before booking an energy work session. Energy work is not a replacement for psychological or psychiatric care.

6. Aftercare

Clients are responsible for following all pre-treatment and post-treatment aftercare instructions provided by Nicole. Beyond Skin Deep is not liable for adverse outcomes resulting from failure to follow aftercare guidance, including but not limited to sun exposure, use of incompatible products, or failure to attend recommended follow-up sessions.

7. Liability, assumption of risk, and indemnification

• All services are used at the client's own risk.
• Beyond Skin Deep's total liability for any claim arising from a treatment is limited to the fee paid for that specific treatment.
• Beyond Skin Deep is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

By booking and attending a treatment, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beyond Skin Deep, its owner, and its staff from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your failure to disclose relevant health information, your failure to follow pre-treatment or post-treatment aftercare instructions, or any misrepresentation of your health status or suitability for treatment.

8. Children and minors

Clients under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian and must be accompanied by that parent or guardian during the treatment.

The Skin Reading quiz, enquiry forms, and online booking tools on this website are intended for use by individuals aged 18 and over. By submitting any form on this website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

9. Professional conduct

All sessions are conducted in a professional, respectful environment. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate, threatening, or disrespectful will result in immediate termination of the session without refund and refusal of future services.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, design, branding, the Skin Reading quiz, and any downloadable materials, is owned by Beyond Skin Deep and is protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or reuse any content without prior written permission.

11. Photographs, testimonials, and marketing

Beyond Skin Deep may occasionally request permission to photograph treatment results or use client testimonials for marketing purposes, including on the website, social media, and printed materials. No photographs will be taken and no testimonials will be used without your explicit, written consent.

If consent is given, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting Beyond Skin Deep in writing. Upon withdrawal, reasonable efforts will be made to remove the relevant content within 14 business days, though content already distributed to third-party platforms (such as social media) may not be fully retrievable.

Google reviews and other public reviews submitted voluntarily by clients to third-party platforms are governed by those platforms' own terms of service and are outside the control of Beyond Skin Deep.

12. Professional insurance

Beyond Skin Deep maintains current professional indemnity and public liability insurance appropriate for the services provided. Details are available upon request.

13. Force majeure

Beyond Skin Deep is not liable for any failure or delay in providing services caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, natural disasters, government restrictions, utility failures, or public health emergencies. In such circumstances, Beyond Skin Deep will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected appointments or provide credit for future services.
